Get involved in our SEA LIES week of action!
Monday 24th – Sunday 30th November 2014
There is no doubt wild animals belong… in the wild!
Yet SEA LIFE, the UK’s largest chain of aquariums, are responsible for taking countless animals away from their natural habitat, away from their families and social groups. These animals spend a lifetime in tanks bearing little resemblance to their true ocean home, all in the name of “entertainment”.
Help us to speak out for the animals!
The SEA LIES Week of Action will take place over the last week of November. Freedom for Animals supporters all over the country will be holding events to help expose the SEA LIES. You can get involved, too, by:
- Holding an information stall in your town centre, local library or school
- Holding a debate about the ethics of animal captivity
- Volunteering on a street collection to raise funds for Freedom for Animals’ investigative work to expose aquarium cruelty
- Leafleting and demonstrating outside SEA LIFE centres to educate the public
- Hold a fundraising event in aid of Freedom for Animals
- Taking online actions over the week of action
- Writing to your local paper about the issues of keeping animals in aquariums
- Sharing our campaign on social media
- Inviting family and friends to get involved
- Request materials from us to distribute
These events can be held in your school, workplace, at home, with friends or on the streets in your town! If you want to get involved email Dominika@captiveanimals.org We will supply materials and support to make your event a meaningful one for the animals!
