Two beluga whales, Little White and
Little Grey, have today embarked on a 6000 mile journey from China to

owner of the SEA LIFE aquarium brand.

BREAKING: CRUEL SHOWS FINALLY END FOR SEA LIFE WHALES

Two beluga whales, Little White and Little Grey, have been forced to perform tricks for crowds for the very last time. These two whales, and a deceased whale named Jun Jun, have been at the centre of a years-long campaign to end whale shows at the SEA LIFE owned aquarium in Shanghai, China.

In a historic victory for the campaign, the shows have now ended and the whales are due to be moved to the world’s first beluga sanctuary in April 2019.

SEA LIFE Consumerise Animal Life Yet Again!

The AquaDom is located inside the Sea Life Center inside of a Radisson Blu hotel in Berlin, Germany…

Here, SEA LIFE continue to exploit and consumerise animal life, turning beauty into a commodity to be gawped at and pointed at under blazing artificial light. In the SEA LIFE reality, animal lives are used as hotel window dressing, as spectacle, whose value is to decorate like living wallpaper. It is an out-dated and grotesque feature of their commercial ambition: to turn every aquatic being into a living …

Please support the International Day of Action against Sea Life: End the Shows! Free the Belugas!

Merlin Entertainments continue to delay on ending the cruel shows and retiring these three beluga whales. As compassionate anti-captivity activists we must continue to take action until the daily circus-style shows stop. Are YOU free to help us raise awareness about the awful shows the 3 imprisoned belugas are still forced to endure?

Empty the Tanks annual international protest in June was a great success which saw Freedom for Animals protesters take to London, Manchester and Birmingham to highlight the plight of the belugas. September the 19th …

Merlin looks set to continue cruel whale shows

One year on from the launch of the SEA LIES campaign we felt it was about time Freedom for Animals and our concerned supporters had some answers from Merlin Entertainments about the three beluga whales they hold captive in their centre in Shanghai. Following the incredible actions of our supporters over the Easter weekend who took to the streets and online to speak out for the whales, Freedom for Animals sent a letter to Merlin CEO, Nick Varney. The letter outlined a series of questions …

SEA LIFE vs ‘SHARK’ on the BBC

The recent natural history shark series by the BBC, SHARK was beautiful, spectacular and inspiring. All three episodes were a fascinating entry into their underwater world. The sheer variety of species, including the incredible ‘master of disguise’ the tasselled wobbegong, were striking, majestic and curiously beautiful. It’s a breath-taking tour around the world of the shark and the stingray. These animals are closely related and it’s not entirely wrong to think of stingrays as flattened sharks. SEA LIFE exploits both species.

This stunning and marvellous film of their …
